Jessica and Cale are so clever! She's a thinker, that one, and found a cozy indoor locale for us to shoot their super cute engagements. Cale plays baseball, see, so their season doesn't really allow for lovely spring/summer/fall photo sessions. Winter it is! And since their wedding reception is going to be at Windows on Washington in December this year, they were nice enough to let us use the space for their pictures. Score. We did venture outside for a few but the wind was not very comfy that day. Although it did make for some beautiful dramatic hair-blowing and snuggling. :) Good luck in the baseball season, Cale! See you guys... uh, next winter! Yay!

I'm ready for this whole winter business to be over. Ok, maybe you're sick of hearing about the weather lately, but indulge me for a moment. I was born in July, mKay? This chick was not MADE to be in the cold. And besides, summer is so much better for being outside with the birds chirping and the trees green and the flowers in colorful bloom... I digress. Not that November through March don't have their own checkmarks in the 'Good to have' category. Layne and Terry's engagements were good to have in February. It wasn't terribly cold (for once) and it made the 'get closer' requests that much more welcome. I'm proud of these and according to Terry - I made them 'look good'. Ohnomyfriend. That was alllllllll you guys. See you in June for your SUMMER WEDDING!

Where would you naturally go to photograph two lovebird law students? Why, the Old Courthouse of course! A bit of warmth before heading out into the snowy downtown landscape. The cold just makes for extra snuggly goodness and they didn't mind the frigid temps, they live in Michigan! See you guys in May for, hopefully, MUCH warmer wedding bliss. :)

I have a certain dedication to my clients. Stevie clients get the gold standard, its just how I roll. What blows me away every time is when my clients show a dedication to getting the greatest pictures possible. Such is the case with Jessica and Tim. We had scheduled their engagements on a Sunday afternoon. It just so happens that the Saturday before that Sunday was GORGEOUS and I had the afternoon off. The Sunday forecast? not so much. I just HAD to take a chance and call to see if they maybemightpossibly have the same free afternoon to do their pictures that day, and my oh-so-dedicated couple chose little ol' me over heading to Columbia to hang with friends before a Mizzou game. Woa. So instead of a soggy day and possible postponement, we got a beautiful, sunny, warm day and the fabulosity to follow.

Oh, they were ready for this. Jenny and Greg came to their engagment session full on READY to make the magic happen. And happen it did, my friends, because when my clients are this flippin' fun to be around, you can't help but be mystified. We had an awesome time lurking around the Arch grounds and in the many alleyways of the Landing seeking out great light, a textured element or just somewhere to snuggle. Get it! ♥
