Welcome I'm Stevie and I am a wedding and portrait photographer in St. Louis, MO. I love people in love, a dry sense of humor and a good Cabernet. I don't eat meat but will never turn down dark chocolate.  I love detail shots, a first dance and fancy cakes. And shoes. Always the shoes.

I talk too much. Read on. Comment profusely. :)

A wonderful thing happened in a little town called Perryville, MO. Two of the most darling people you've ever met had the most perfect wedding day you could ever imagine. And I got to be there. Beth and Scott were the epitome of happiness and fun and their friends and family only added to their excitement. Uh, it also helps that they were up for anything with photos and worked it FIERCE. uh huh. My job rules. Check the awesomeness below.

Thanks to my trusty second Dan Watkins for the 2nd shooter expertise. Road trip! Thanks Dan!

July is my favorite month. And not JUST because its my birthday month... Ok, mostly because its my birthday month. But also because its July for me means that its really and truly summer. One could argue that June is also considered 'summer', but I hold out for the hot and muggy that is July to signal the start of the best season ever. Sound crazy? maybe. I like the heat - I'd much rather be hot than cold - and there's nothing better to me than stepping outside after being A/C chilled all day to a nice warm 'hug' of sun and summer air.

I think Lucy and Craig would agree that July is a perfectly lovely month as well. An especially lovely month to get married, too! AND their wedding just happened to be the day after my birthday! Score! I loved every second of shooting this wedding and all the little details and touches that were all about them. And color me 12 shades of green with envy at their honeymoon in PARIS! AYKM!? :) loves it.

Thanks for letting me hang out with your awesomeness for the day!  And a big thanks to Sharon for shooting with me and doing an awesome job!

I love getting couples with such a true sense of their own identity. When I first met Laura and Ryan last year, I knew they were those kind of people who are not afraid to be themselves wherever they go. The world needs more folks like that, I think. So what a refreshing thing it was to spend their wedding day surrounded by everything that makes them the people they are. There was a beautiful slideshow during the ceremony that took us through the couple's relationship in photos, an awesomely talented guitarist for the processional and the Groom even sat at the piano to showcase his own amazing talent. Keep an eye out for him - he'll be famous someday! We even had a 'bird of honor' (the lovely Ms. Archimedes) and a schnauzer for the mini-bride (Ms. Pepper Ann)! Not to mention a getaway ride that was hotter than the mercury that day in June! I love me a red convertible. So many personal touches! I was so lucky to be a part of this event.

So the Grooms Cake and the figurines are from one of those old timey christmas cartoons. Laura said that Ryan looks like the Heat Miser and so she is, by elimination, the Snow Miser. Perfect. :)

And big thanks to Von DeVore for being my road trip buddy and fab second shooter!

Sometimes things work out for the best. The first time I scheduled Beth and Scott's engagement session, it stormed like crazy! We had our heart set on going downtown so 'under cover' photos just weren't in the cards. Lucky for us! The alternative turned out to be one of the nicest evenings downtown I've had in a while. Gorgeous light, good temps and a snuggy and cute couple to photograph. What more could you ask for? oh ya.. the pictures. :)

See you in August, my darlings! Can't wait!
